Vintage Candy Striped Sock Pattern Release - 7 January 2022

I am excited to announce the release of the pattern that was originally designed for the 2021 Advent main skein as part of the Deluxe Calendar Box. The Pattern will be available for purchase on the 7th January 2022.



The Socks are knit from the top down, starting with a scalloped lace cast on that has the appearance of the traditional candy canes. It continues with plain vanilla stocking stitch for the remainder of the leg.

The pattern is written for an average sock size but can be lengthened or shortened where desired. It is finished with a afterthought heel with instructions for both true afterthought and a forethought heel option. The pattern comes with four sizes and is easy to adjust and modify to achieve your perfect fit.


Finished Measurements: To fit approx. foot circumference of 5, 6, 7 (8.5)”


Yarn: Ash and Eve Designs Posh Sock 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon; 100g = 400m/426yds 1 x 100g skein Colour Featured: Candy Cane Self Striping and Sparkle Mini


Needles: 2.25mm (US 1), & 2.75mm (US2) - 100cm (40”) long circular needles (or size to obtain gauge) for magic loop method or DPNs if preferred


Notions: Tapestry needle 1 stitch marker


Gauge: 32 sts/46 rounds = 10 cm (4”) in stockinette stitch

There will be a the new Vintage Self Striping Collection, created with this pattern in mind also available on the 7th January shop update to coincide with the pattern release date. I also have some other fun option for you that would work up beautifully.
